MAJOR., the self-proclaimed “hope dealer,” is being celebrated for his philanthropic efforts.
The singer and songwriter was recently recognized by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He was awarded the 2025 St. Jude Champion’s Spirit Award during St. Jude’s Celebration of Hope weekend. The award was established last year during the seminar to commemorate the contributions of the late Jeff Grant, a dynamo in the Gospel music industry and humanitarian.
MAJOR. earned the award for his acts of servitude and dedication to amplify the mission of St. Jude by contributing to the This Shirt Saves Lives campaign, the Urban Radio Cares National Event and serving as the St. Jude Ambassador during the Essence Festival of Culture. MAJOR. also is the head of MAJOR.HOPE. Inc., a charity that creatively amplifies hope throughout the world through entertainment, civic engagement, community development, youth enrichment and philanthropy.
“HOPE is my calling and great honor,” said MAJOR. in a press release. “To be recognized for my work to amplify HOPE and the mission of St. Jude is mighty to me. I will continue to forge ahead as a dealer of this truth – HOPE ain’t ever canceled!”

In addition to his humanitarian pursuits, MAJOR. is celebrating the success of his “Hope of My Soul” EP and its lead single “I Prayed For You.” The song is a love letter to the heart of the world for hope, renewal and direction. The song climbed to the top 30 on the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart and recently garnered a 2025 NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Gospel/Christian Song. This is his 9th nomination. The NAACP Image Awards are set for February 20.
MAJOR. remains on an award tour as he was awarded a guest starring role on NBC’s “Found. The series follows characters as they rescue missing people forgotten by the media, law enforcement and the public. The show is apt for MAJOR. as his mission is to be a voice for the voiceless. His episode airs tomorrow (January 30) at 10 PM ET/9 PM CT.
