I love that love can heal situations.
I had a conversation with somebody very near and dear to my heart. They were honest about some offensive things that they felt toward me but just hadn’t said it in years. I knew we were cool, but I knew it was something else deeply rooted here and I didn’t know what it was—but they came to me and repented to me, and when they repented to me, I told them I already knew and I loved you anyway, and it never mattered to me. I’ve been covering you in prayer this whole time, and that’s what love looks like.
I never made them my enemy. I never ask God to to do anything to them. I just pray for freedom and deliverance and God allowed love to hold it together, even while it was in a difficult time. That’s what happens in relationships when you are heart hurt but you love someone. Some people just let go totally, but my prayer has always been, “God, don’t let it completely fall apart. We’re in a difficult space but hold us together. Let there be enough love, enough years, enough laughter, enough conversation to at least hold us together in the difficult time.”

God did just that. I’m telling you, this is how the love of God works. This is how the devil is exposed.
It was out front in front of everybody at church. Everybody could see—everybody looking and just not ashamed…just honest, vulnerable, allowing God to do what God does best (which is is heal, restore, revive and renew). I’m telling you, even your most difficult relationships and difficult situations, God can heal, especially when both parties want to be healed. It’s different when one wants to be healed and somebody else is not there yet—you cannot force that. You cannot force God’s hand, but if both of you want the same thing and there is enough love that holds you together like glue—like a rubber band—I’m telling you, God does amazing things.
Be patient in the process. Pray through the process. God is a healer. He is a God who wants to restore. He sent Jesus so we can be restored to him, and so I want you to hold on to that and apply it to where it is needed in your life.
I love you, and I mean it.
Love,
