The holiday season is right around the corner which means there are a bevy of holiday movies slated for release. Gospel and R&B legend BeBe Winans is at the helm of one film. Dubbed “BeBe Winans’ We Three Kings,” the movie tells the story of a father trying to reunite his estranged daughters for the holidays with the power of music, memories and family love.

Winans stars as Lincoln, a retired musician turned record store owner. He’s the proud father to the three King sisters—Lydia, Gracie and Abigail. For the first time since their mother’s death, the three estranged sisters go back home for the holidays. So, Lincoln constructs a plan with family friend Genelle, played by Deborah Joy Winans, to bring his girls back together for Christmas. While living under the same roof, the girls hear their father sing joyful Christmas melodies which spark old family memories. The trio even find love along the way. It’s not long before they realize that life is better when they are together.

Winans is no stranger to acting. He has a role in the Bounce TV series “Mind Your Business” where he plays a character named Henry. In an interview with Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell back in July, Winans said he was encouraged to by Denzel Washington to give acting a try after he was initially hesitant about it.

“I used to believe in staying in my lane as a singer,” Winans said. “But years ago, Denzel Washington told me I had acting chops and should give it a try. So, I stepped into this role and am having a great time.”

His stage play “Born For This” will debut on Broadway next spring. He said he’s excited and the production is about having “faith and patience.”

“BeBe Winans’ We Three Kings” is part of Lifetime’s annual It’s a Wonderful Lifetime movie lineup. Other highly anticipated titles include “A Very Merry Beauty Salon” executive produced by and starring Tia Mowry, “Christmas in the Spotlight” starring Jeannie Mai and “The Holiday Junkie” directed, executive produced by and starring Jennifer Love Hewitt. Lifetime will begin airing their 12 new festive films starting on November 16 on every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas.
