God’s Hands: Don Ready’s Cancer in Remission, Releases New Song to Celebrate

Don Ready has beat cancer and now he’s singing a joyful noise onto the Lord.

Back in September 2023, almost a year ago to the day, Ready was diagnosed with Lymphoma. In a lengthy statement posted to Instagram in November 2023, he said the diagnosis was hard to stomach at first, but he began to pray and seek God. He believed God would heal his body.

Ready underwent six rounds of chemotherapy. The details beyond that are mum as he said he wanted to keep his battle as private as possible beyond asking fans for their prayers.

Well, as of this month, Ready’s cancer is in remission. To celebrate, he linked up with Yung Kriss and Brenno for a new single “God’s Hands.”

“’God’s Hands’ is more than just a song; it’s a statement of unwavering faith,” Yung Kriss said in an Instagram post. “With uplifting lyrics like ‘don’t it feel good just to be in God’s Hands?’, the song celebrates the comfort and strength that faith and community provide during challenging times.”

“I want this song to inspire anyone who has faced their own battles,” said Ready. “It’s a beautiful reminder that we are never alone, and that God’s presence is always with us.”

This is a moment Ready prayed for according to his November 2023 statement. In an Instagram post on Monday (September 23), he confirmed he’s living in the moment he prayed for.

“[I] just wanna say thank you to everyone that has been celebrating with us,” he said. “It’s so amazing to see what God has done. We believe him to do so much more! I still have a short journey of recovery ahead of me. But it feels so good to know that I’m in God‘s hands.”
